May you use your unique talents to soar in 2008. Happy New Year!
Mechanical and red colored pencil on Strathmore 400 Series Drawing medium paper (9" x 12").
Here is an earlier version of the drawing with no blending. I like the visible pencil strokes, but could not get the background dark enough using only cross hatching.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnIwmjIqUGbP4QYUT8Dlf8q-xzyeXtlZx81c98WUgQPz9jaiSB-hGOu3_LQInb_8gZX02N3sb9wQOaSu3tNDd8knwS8QA9vj8HZ23IqLCT_PyvMA7Wll0421lJhyphenhypheny9gAPysh3990MwXFA/s320/Soar2.jpg)

Both versions are beautiful!
Wonderful.
Happy New Year
love
They're both very nice, but I'm with you on liking the raw lines more. There's something wonderful about a deliberate stroke! I tend to end up blending everything though. I love doing it, especially with a stomp.Such fun!
Happy new year!
Great piece!
